Municipal court is a Magistrate court system with a municipal Judge and Prosecutor in the court room. Cases involving misdemeanors, traffic offenses, and parking violations are adjudicated. People that have been charged with these violations can then contest those charges if they desire.  People are sent summons with the court date and location to appear as well as the times Court will be held. There are no appointments for court.

Defendants may choose to be represented by an attorney if they desire, and present evidence in their defense.  

If you received a citation and have not contacted the Municipal Court or received a summons, please call the court. If you fail to pay a citation or appear in court, a capias for your arrest will be issued with additional fines possible.
